Kernel / Hypervisor Software Engineer

• Summary

Red Hat is looking for an engineer with a strong technical background to work on software engineering for Red Hat Enterprise Linux within the Virtualization team.

The position requires working will all components throughout the Red Hat Virtualization stack, focused primarily on userspace portions. The candidate must be capable of working with internal and upstream communities, motivated and a fast learner.

• Requirements

• Relevant university IT degree or equivalent work experience.
• The candidate should have 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated expertise in the C programming language, with some experience of other technologies, understanding (and application) of agile development models.
• Strong understanding of x86 machine architecture
• Understanding of the Linux kernel
• Communicative knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• General virtualization knowledge a plus.
