Linux Kernel Generalist
- Main responsibilities:
- Kernel development position in Red Hat's Enterprise Linux development team.
- Job responsibilities include bug fixing existing subsystems as well as incremental feature additions.
- Requirements:
- Requirements include 2 years direct kernel development experience on Linux.
- Familiarity and required knowledge and understanding of the kernel subcomponents such as networking stack, filesystsems, and VM prefered.
- Experience with ACPI, PCI device discovery and mapping, x86/x86_64 SMP environments, AMD Powernow, writing of device drivers, and embedded Linux hardware bringup knowledge is helpful.
- Good English language speaking, writing, and reading skills.
