JAVA Developer/Analytic – Search technologies
As a community infrastructure developer for jboss.org, you will be responsible for developing and expanding our on line collaboration and development capabilities.
You'll be focus on integration and development of search engine and techniques used in our infrastructure applications.
The goal is to promote and increase community collaboration and development efforts around the JBoss projects.
Primary focus is on Java EE development and innovation of our applications to provide best user experience in Web 2.0 world.
As part of the JBoss Community team you will play a key role in helping to further the adoption of JBoss projects and shape the future landscape of Enterprise Java.
- Relevant university IT degree or equivalent work experience.
- J2EE development (EJB, Spring).
- Communicative knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Ideally 2-4 years work experience.
- Experience with implementation or integration of search engines.
- Knowledge of fulltext search technologies and theory (advantage).
- Knowledge of how to use an issue tracking system (JIRA preferred).
- Knowledge of how to use a revision control system (Subversion preferred).
- Working knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL (MySQL experience a plus).
- Previous experience with JBoss AS/JBoss EAP 4.x (Magnolia/Clearspace/JIRA experience a plus).
- Ability to fix and solve problems.
- Ability to work independently once goals have been established.
- Interest in helping to increase collaboration and development efforts around JBoss projects.
